Love, love your Bowl Rito. Just the right amount of spice! I order: refried, white lime, polla asado, cheese, onions, cilantro, pic de gallo, salsa verde green and sour cream.

We came here for a quick late lunch and it was A-OK.  Chronic Tacos Mexican Grill has a cool concept, as you pick a menu item and can pretty much customize it to your liking.  But the food just fell short for us.

While my friend ordered the Potato Taco, I ordered an Al Pastor Taco and we shared the Tots with Queso.  My friend's potato taco is one of their specialty items, as it's a taco filled with mashed potatoes and is deep fried in the shell.  Afterwards you choose toppings for it.  For my al pastor taco I had guac, hot salsa, pepperjack cheese and sour cream.  They sure do overload the tacos, so one taco was good enough for lunch.

My al pastor taco didn't taste bad, but the meat seemed to be either overcooked or was sitting out too long.  The texture wasn't as tender as it should've been, so it wasn't as flavorful.  Other than that, I would say the taco was solid, but it's a shame that the main feature of the taco is a disappointment.  And unfortunately, my friend's potato taco was just too dang greasy.  When she picked up her taco it was dripping with oil since the taco was deep fried.  Yikes.  Tots were fine, yet the queso was better.

Overall, it's nice to have such a casual eatery where you can customize your Mexican meal to your liking, but I just wish the quality was there.  Again, it's not a bad place, but Chronic wouldn't be my first choice for a casual lunch around downtown Spokane.

Was wandering around downtown looking for a cheap and quick lunch. Stopped in and saw they had al pastor, so I was sold. And it was Tuesday, so it was $1 off all regular tacos. Double sold.

I had two al pastor and one carnitas. Carnitas were a bit too sauced for carnitas, but not bad. Al pastor was definitely a good choice, but a little dry given the pre-cooked nature of the setup (think Chipotle). All in all not bad for fast casual and $1 off, but probably would prefer a regular street taco joint. Otherwise, I think $3.50 is a bit steep given they're not cooked to order. But kudos for having some more unique proteins on the menu.

Service was a bit disorganized at first, taking a while to be acknowledged despite nearly no one there. But it was nice once it got started. I appreciate that they use two corn tortillas, otherwise it's a mess.

Absolutely awful.  Sounded like a hip version of the standard taco shop.  No, options are boring.  Nothing unusual.  The food was extremely salty.  I returned my meal and was told, " we've been getting those complaints all day, we think it's the black beans."  Ok, so I reordered with the Pinto Beans on my Tostada Salad, grossly inedible, over salted.  You'd think if they had complaints they'd test their ingredients and fix the problem.  Their repose was " sorry about that". No refund, huh?

I was doing errands downtown and before I knew it it was afternoon and I was starving! I didn't want to spend much money or time, just something easy and quick (oh, a pint of IPA wouldn't hurt).

So stopped into Chronic Tacos, and holy smokes, it delivered on all counts! As I walked in, I liked the atmosphere - I expected fast food style and it was. But kinda pub-like, definitely way more upscale than classic fast food places.

So here's the *best* part: I ordered just ONE taco for $3.25 and it was huge and so yummy! I chose chicken (Pollo) for my meat, then  I was offered LOTS of topping choices which were laid out right in front of me (Think Subway). So many choices, 4 kinds of salsa I think, cheeses, and every other topping you can imagine, including guacamole and my fave Jalepenoes.

Check out my pic, this was a filling meal for me for under $4!!!! Made with fresh ingredients before my eyes. Oh, and yes they had the on tap the IPA I was craving as well - NoLi Born and Raised, one of my faves.

I will be back frequently. And of course they have many many more items on their menu from burritos to burrito bowls and more. And a special on one thing or another every day of the week.
